HI!, We are Agent's "The A TEAM".

A virus has taken over our world. It has become many people’s priority. But, sick and injured kids at Children’s Hospital are counting on you.

Every day, kids are diagnosed with cancer, born premature, or need treatment for serious health issues. Injury and illness hasn’t stopped.

We need YOU to help us with our special mission to take back kids’ health. Our mission is to raise funds to help kids at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre.

Together, we can fight disease and illness so that kids in our community have access to the very best care and can live happy, healthy lives!

• 90% of the equipment at Children's Hospital is funded by donations
  
• Each year, over 149,000 patient visits take place at Children's Hospital
  
• Over 900 babies like us are cared for in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (and for that we are forever grateful❤)
  
• Some children must travel from as far as Thunder Bay to be treated at Children's (over 800 kms!)
  

Our Story:

Our story began on July 18, 2014 when our twins Addison and Aubrey were born at 27 weeks. They were rushed to the NICU by a team of doctors and nurses that had been standing by waiting. Addison weighed 2 lbs. 3 oz. Aubrey weighed 2 lbs. 6 oz. and was quickly put on a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine to help her breathe.

In the three months that followed, we learned how to be new parents to children in critical care. We learned how to lift their tiny fragile bodies out of their incubators amongst wires and tubes.

We learned what the monitors and beeps were telling us and how we needed to give them a startling shake to remind them to breathe. We had discussions about caffeine and oxygen levels, and some very scary discussions about brain bleeds and putting in PICC lines to administer medications.

Those first precious moments of having newborn daughters was very different from what we imagined it would be, but the support that we received from the doctors and nurses in the NICU was what got us through.

I was provided with a Social Worker to give me emotional support. We had two primary nurses, who gave us familiar faces and people that we trusted. And the medical team kept us involved in all discussions about their care throughout those very tough months in the NICU.

After 70 days we got the exciting news that Aubrey was being discharged! The excitement was bitter sweet because we knew that Addison was not ready and having problems with oral feeding. We had physical therapists and lactation consultants to help us. It was heartbreaking to be so close but feel so far.

On October 11, after 85 days in the NICU, Addison was coming home! I owe being able to have Thanksgiving at home with our complete family to the health care staff at Children’s Hospital.

The girls are now seven years old and doing amazing!
