Christina Ellwood - Foster and Rescue Manager
Thank you for coming by my page! I have worked for Charleston Animal Society for 13 years. Anyone who knows me could tell you that I found my passion when I started working here. It was supposed to be a just a job while I was going to school, and then graduation came around and I never left. The work that is done here at Charleston Animal Society everyday is beyond amazing and beyond anything you could ever imagine. This industry is tough, stressful, draining, but 100% worth it. Someone has to speak for the ones who can’t speak for themselves, and I choose to be one of those people. For all my fellow animal welfare advocates, that you for fighting the good fight with me! You are all true heros!❤
Over 15,000 animals will turn to Charleston Animal Society for caring, compassion and hope this year alone. In addition to caring for homeless animals, adopting them into new homes, and reuniting lost pets with their families, the organization responds to animals in crisis as a result of both man-made and natural disasters. Their shelter medicine program provides direct care for as many as 1,200 animals at one time spays or neuters upwards of 10,000 dogs and cats each year. They also provide emergency medical services to critically ill and injured animals arriving at the shelter daily.
No donation amount is too small and 100% of all proceeds benefit Charleston Animal Society.
