If you follow my social media at all, you know I'm incredibly proud of my shelter and the work we do. Every time I talk about an awesome work story, a pet reunited with their family, a pet able to STAY with their family, a lost pet nursed back to health...it's all coming from my shelter and the amazing team I'm lucky to work with.

You may also know the effect they've had on my own life. I adopted my sweet Lumi muffin from there, they neutered and vaccinated our community cats at no charge as part of their TVAR program, and they took in the little kitten we found on our porch and found him a great home. <3

I can joke about becoming Neighborhood Cat Central, but that's a lot of free healthcare we give out to community cats that in other places might be left alone to create more unwanted kittens or even euthanized as nuisance animals or unadoptable cats. It's not the only important program we run, but it's one I have reason to be extra passionate about.

We're also giving out food from the pet food bank daily, working with owners to see if they can keep their pets in their homes, and bringing in stray animals from tiny puppies to giant mastiffs to make sure they stay safe and cared for while we look for their families.

Like most shelters, we mostly run on donations and it's that time of year to try and raise some. If any of you folks who might have felt moved by my stories would like to pitch in, anything you'd like to give will go right into helping more animals and more families.
