The Bear Greer Memorial Cat Sanctuary was acquired six years ago by Charleston Animal Society, providing permanent sanctuary to around 250 feral or otherwise unadoptable cats for the community of Charleston, South Carolina. The Sanctuary is not open to the public in order to keep our feral friends happy and feeling safe, as they are our first priority. For the first time EVER, we are extending an exclusive offer to tour the Sanctuary in Ravenel, South Carolina for $500 per two person tour groups! (Groups need to be kept small as our cats are extremely shy and scared of new people).

Our annual intake of new cats is typically between 20-30 cats a year. This year, we are also offering the opportunity to name your very own sanctuary cat with a donation of $75. This is a limited opportunity and only offered to the first five people who donate $75, due to limited naming opportunities available.

Charleston Animal Society manages the budget for the Bear Greer Memorial Cat Sanctuary, and their support is necessary to keep our facilities operational. We chose to make this team to support them as they continue to support feral cats around the Lowcountry!

For gift-eligible prizes, please email cbrugge@charlestonanimalsociety.org to schedule your tour or submit the name you wish to choose for your cat! Please keep in mind we are unable to refund donations, so feel free to email us before submitting a donation to keep your spot for names!

Join us in our efforts to support the lifesaving programs at Charleston Animal Society! Since 1874, the organization’s mission has always been the prevention of cruelty to animals.

Over 15,000 animals will turn to Charleston Animal Society for caring, compassion and hope this year alone. In addition to caring for homeless animals, adopting them into new homes, and reuniting lost pets with their families, the organization responds to animals in crisis as a result of both man-made and natural disasters. Their shelter medicine program provides direct care for as many as 1,200 animals at one time spays or neuters upwards of 10,000 dogs and cats each year. They also provide emergency medical services to critically ill and injured animals arriving at the shelter daily.

No donation amount is too small and 100% of all proceeds benefit Charleston Animal Society.
