Tips to Get Your Team Motivated:

  • Remind them about the prizes they can win! We have amazing prize items this year, and your team members can win prizes for every fundraising level they achieve.
  • Ask them to send inspiring emails from their Participant Center! They can choose from a selection of animal stories to send to their animal-loving friends and family. Tip: Remind them that it can take three asks to get a response, and that it’s OK to follow up.
  • Look into matching gifts! Many companies offer matching gifts, and it could mean additional donations to help you achieve your goal. Ask your team members to check with their employers.
  • Recruit team members! Remember, registration will increase on event day, so now is the best time to recruit friends and family to join your team. Every participant means more funds raised for the animals!
  • Remember the animals! To stay motivated, encourage your team to remember their “why.” For us here at Charleston Animal Society, it’s the over 15,000 animals who will need our help in the coming year. They’re why we walk!

Here’s How to Start Your Facebook Fundraiser:

  • Log in to your Participant Center and click on the teal square that says "Connect Fundraiser to Facebook.” This will automatically create your fundraiser and post it to your page for your friends to see!
  • Once your fundraiser is created, you can update the photos and content. We’ve included some to get you started, but remember to add what the Walk means to you and why you’re asking for support!
