Hi, my name is Samantha Foust and I am the Public Relations Coordinator for North Carolina District East Junior Civitan Board. Over the five years that I have been a Junior Civitan it was amazing to not just see my club, Wake Lead Junior Civitan, but also our district grow. With many opportunities to serve through events, like supporting our senior club's vendor at the North Carolina State Fair or fundraising through my personal favorite, the Haunted Forest. Along with completing service projects in the local clubs and at district meetings. Being a Junior Civitan really is a dedication to "make the world a better place", as our creed says.

Junior Civitan though is a small part of a bigger picture. We work to support Civitan International Research Center through fundraising, like this for Dance-a-thon. Their work there is extremely important not just in working to make medical advancements for various disabilities but also in educating the public on disabilities like Autism, Dementia, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's. Even small amounts can make a bigger impact than you know, by contributing to the Research Center you make it possible for them to continue to make breakthroughs and help families around the world.
