Victoria Davis' Junior Civitan Page
Hello, my name is Victoria Davis, and I am proud to say that I have been elected as an International Director, as well as Governor of the Chesapeake District for Junior Civitan for the year 2018-19. I am very excited for this coming year, as I know just how much the Junior Civitans will achieve. I live in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, where I attend Spring Mills High School within Junior Civitan’s Chesapeake District (Mid-Atlantic).
I have been a part of Junior Civitan since the Spring of 2017, when Junior Civitan was chartered at my school. Some of my favorite service projects have been fundraising for local animal shelters, gathering items to donate for local children, and having my club, as well as my sponsoring Civitan club, host a Karaoke event for those in the community with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This year, I have the privilege of attending both Sno-Do and Dance-A-Thon! Sno-Do is the annual fundraiser and meeting of District Governors and International Officers, held each winter in Canada. Dance-A-Thon is an annual fundraiser held at the Junior Civitan International Convention, which will be held in Washington, D.C. this year. I am very excited to participate in both of these events, and would very much appreciate any donation, big or small.
These donations support the UAB Civitan International Research Center in Birmingham, Alabama. The Research Center is dedicated to exploring the causes of, and treatments for developmental disabilities and other illnesses of the brain. Thank you for your generous donations and support for such an important cause. With your help, we can help change someone’s life. I cannot express how excited I am for the year to begin, and hope that all of you are as well!
