Hello everyone!

My name is Victoria Scott. I am currently a junior at Academy of Tucson High School as well as the current club president. At school while keeping up with my academics I am a part of Student council, the Historian for National Honor Society as well as helping lead in the Travel club. Aside from clubs, a passion of mine would be theater, I love acting! To add to this, I enjoy playing volleyball and attending a youth group.

Over the summer, I was elected one of this years International Directors! So far, it's been such an honor. I first joined Junior Civitan my freshman year. Deep down my entire life I've always wanted to be a part of something that impacts my community, I wanted to make a change. So when finding the opportunity I jumped right in! I've never regretted it, Junior Civitan changed my life in so many ways. It helped me make friends, try new things, and most importantly make an impact in my community as well as school.

As kids, we are taught to treat everyone with kindness. I think one of the most popular sayings is "Treat others how you wish to be treated" and I'm a strong believer of this. Right now, chaos and anger is what the world is going through, and it's important to face these problems with kindness and respect. The "All In Summit" is a wonderful convention where we get to network, meet new leaders just like us, experiment and try new things as well as learn new things. We get a rare opportunity to be a part of something great, but I think the focus should be why we do this.

We do this to create new beginnings, events like these that give the future generations opportunities to lead and to spread kindness. When I first joined Junior Civitan, I thought the club was only about volunteering and making friends, but I was wrong. Junior Civitan is a community that looks out for each other, it's a safe space for everyone to come and connect. It's a chance at something great for the next generation of leaders. By leading in these conventions and events, our goal is to keep this going. It's so important to keep creating new atmospheres where people can express themselves. When each one of us gets to go, it's a way of setting an example for underclassmen and people who are interested. We want to keep the Civitan dream alive.
