Hello to all!

My name is August Hoffman. I am a junior at Salisbury Academy in Salisbury, North Carolina. Salisbury Academy was established in 1993 and this year they offically opened their brand new upper school. Our Junior Civitan club was offically chartered this past October and I am honored to hold the role of secretary. 

The Junior Civitan club is for middle and high school students and their main focus is service work. I have always been passionate about helping and serving the community. Freshman year I accumulated over 40 service hours volunteering for various different organizations across Winston Salem. Aside from that I've volunteered across Rowan County. 

I am reaching out today for donations to support the Civitan International Research Center (CIRC). The CIRC is an interdisciplinary center dedicated to improving lives through brain research and treatment of developmental disabilities. Junior Civitans members from all over the world, including myself, are working towards a collective goal of raising $60,000 for CIRC. Your donation will not only contribute to this important cause but will also help me raise funds to attend the annual Junior Civitan's All In Summit. This event brings together Junior Civitans members from across the globe for a weekend of leadership development, community service, and fun. During the Summit, we'll have the opportunity to visit the CIRC, engage in service projects, attend enriching meetings, and much more. This rare opportunity will greatly contribute to my personal growth and development as both an individual and as a member of Junior Civitans.
