Help Me On My Junior Civitan Journey!
My name's Sean Lane. I'm a senior at Davie County High School in NC and a proud member of the Jr. Civitan Organization. My journey with Jr. Civitan began in 7th grade, when I joined the William Ellis Middle School Chapter. I soon fell in love with the service that we provided as a club, whether it was ringing bells for the Salvation Army or writing letters to be sent to those in need. As I grew older, I joined the high school club. Not only was I involved within our community, but communities all over the state when I had the privilege of serving on the Region 3 board. This year, as I continue my involvement with the organization, I serve as the current Jr. Civitan International President, presiding over clubs in the U.S. and all over the world.
Along my journey as a Junior Civitan, I've learned about Jr. Civitan's pledge to conduct research and treatment of intellectual and developmental disabilities: cue the Civitan International Research Center and All In Summit!
This fundraising page raises money for the Civitan International Research Center (CIRC), created in 1989 with a $20 million pledge from Civitan International with the goal of conducting research and providing treatment of intellectual and developmental disabilities. As I raise money for the cause, portions of my trip to the All In Summit trip in the spring will be covered. This trip is a youth leadership meeting for Jr. Civitans all over the country to practice fellowship, education, and service. Help me reach my goal...
