Because the Democrat leadership of the US House of Representatives
refuses to allow a vote on H.R. 962, the House Republican leadership has
decided to take charge by introducing a discharge petition for the
Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act – a seldom-used option to
force a vote on legislation in Congress.
Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), House Minority Whip, along with Rep. Ann
Wagner (R-MO) are asking their Congressional colleagues to sign the
discharge petition to bring this bill to a vote. The discharge
petition requires the signatures of at least 218 Members of Congress in
order to force a vote on the Floor of the House. We need your help!If
your representative hasn't yet signed the discharge petition, please send a message asking them to sign the discharge petition

Dear [Decision Maker],
I am calling on you to sign the discharge petition to bring H.R. 962 to the floor for a vote. Babies who survive abortion need life-saving care, and this bill would require that care be provided. Current law does not provide enough protections, and we need the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to stop infanticide.
There have been more than 80 attempts to bring H.R. 962, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, to a vote in the House of Representatives. Unfortunately, it has been blocked every time, making this discharge petition necessary to allow an up-or-down vote.
Please sign the petition today and bring H.R. 962 to the floor for a vote.
Sincerely,[Your Name] [Your Address] [City, State ZIP][Your Email]
