Dear [Decision Maker],

As a constituent, I'm writing to ask you to uphold the Hyde Amendment and related protections. Specifically, I urge you to commit to vote against any government funding bill that eliminates or weakens the Hyde Amendment or other current-law, pro-life appropriations provisions.

For 45 years, those protections have been in place to keep taxpayer funds from being used to support abortion procedures. For those who are pro-life, it is unconscionable that their taxpayer money would be used to take an innocent life. But even many who are pro-choice support these taxpayer-protection provisions.

Know that I along with many will be watching to see how you vote on appropriations bills where this issue may arise.
