The Invenergy company wants to build a new fossil-fuel plant in Rhode Island. This proposed plant would burn oil and fracked gas, increase greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to climate change. This is the wrong direction for Rhode Island. Renewable energy, including wind and solar made right here in our state, offers a better future for Rhode Island residents and families.
There's still time to stop this plant from being approved and built. Tell Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo, House Speaker Nicholas A. Mattiello, and Senate President M. Teresa Paiva Weed to oppose the Invenergy plant.
If you take action and have not already registered, you will receive periodic updates and communications from Conservation Law Foundation.
Stop the Invenergy Plant
