Haiti Medical Project
responds to human need in and around 20 communities in Haiti where the Haitian Brethren have congregations. Gifts can be made by sending a check (made out to Church of the Brethren along with the designation for your gift) to Haiti Medical Project, Church of the Brethren, 1451 Dundee Avenue, Elgin, IL 60120.

The most common designations are gifts for:

  • Immediate Need (used to support programs now)
  • Endowment Fund (add to a fund that generates annual income for program from the fund’s earnings)
  • It is also possible to designate your mailed check for a more specific aspect of program (two examples would be Maternal Care and Pure Water programs.)This is not yet available via online giving.

Beginning January 1, 2017, contributions to restricted funds, such as the Haiti Medical Initiative, will include a Ministry Enablement Contribution of 9 percent to help cover costs of carrying out the intended purpose of the gift. Grants, endowment additions, and bequests will not be assessed the Ministry Enablement Contribution.
