Coloradans deserve reliable 9-1-1
services, with public oversight to protect those services. SB16-183 will mean a
lack of accountability and safety. If SB16-183 became law, there will be little
accountability when a failure in 9-1-1 service occurs. 9-1-1 is literally a lifeline for Coloradans,
and it is no exaggeration to say that failures in service could lead to injury
or death. Senate Bill 16-183 would remove state accountability and oversight.
