PURCHASE or RENEW a CONSERVANCY MEMBERSHIP

The majority of the Central Park Conservancy's annual budget comes from the generous donations of people like you.

Eric Kohler, Conservancy Zone gardener

Chris Cousino is the Central Park Conservancy section coordinator who works in the area that includes the Mall, Bethesda Terrace and the newly restored Cherry Hill Concourse. Your Gardner membership will help Chris, and our other Conservancy staff, care for all 843 acres of your Park.

Tree care worker on the job

The Mall in Central Park is home to one of North America's largest and oldest stands of American elms. We're able to maintain them and inhibit the spread of Dutch elm disease thanks to the work of our dedicated Tree Crew. Your Arborist membership will help support not only our Tree Crew, but also the rest of our staff and their work all over Central Park.

Alice in Wonderland statue

Alice in Wonderland is a favorite of children, who can be seen climbing atop the statue, delighting in its bronze figures. This is just one of the countless places in the Park to enjoy the outdoors as a family. With your Family membership, you’ll find many more treasures in the Park where you and your children can enjoy unforgettable times.

Baby Owls in nest, Central Park

Central Park is an urban oasis for New Yorkers, but it’s also a haven for all kinds of wildlife. Your Protector membership will help the Conservancy to nurture and maintain healthy ecosystems for baby owls and many other feathered friends that make Central Park a stop on the Atlantic Flyway.

Greensward Circle event

The Greensward Circle of the Central Park Conservancy is a network of young professionals (age 21-39) who desire to preserve Central Park for future generations. Greensward Circle members are invited to special events and offered unique opportunities to learn how the Conservancy restores, manages and enhances the Park.

Bow Bridge Urns

Bow Bridge is one of the Park's most cherished icons. It was originally designed with eight urns. By the 1920s, they were gone. In 2006, the Conservancy installed new urns, and they are replanted seasonally with vibrant floral displays. Your Contributor membership will help the Conservancy maintain this and all other restorations in the Park.

Belvedere Castle

Belvedere Castle was built in 1869 atop Vista Rock, overlooking the old reservoir, now the Great Lawn. In 1983, the Conservancy restored the vandalized Castle to its original beauty. Your Belvedere Knight membership will help the Conservancy protect the Castle and the rest of Central Park.

Bethesda Angel Statue

Bethesda Terrace has been called "the heart of Central Park" since 1864. The focal point of the Terrace is Angel of the Waters, the sculpture atop the fountain. The Conservancy's specially trained staff care for the sculpture all year. Your Bethesda Angel membership will help ensure the maintenance and preservation of Bethesda Terrace and the rest of the Park.

Dana Discovery Center on Harlem Meer

Olmsted and Vaux, Central Park's designers, named the Harlem Meer after the Dutch word for "lake." On the north shore is the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center, host to community programs, music events, exhibits, holiday celebrations and more. Your Patron's Circle membership will help to maintain the Meer, the Dana Center and the rest of Central Park.

Mowing Lawns

The Central Park Conservancy’s Turf Care Crew nurtures and maintains the Park’s 250 acres of lawn. Annually, the lawns require 7.5 tons of grass seed, 700 tons of topdressing sand and constant care. Your President’s Circle membership will help the Conservancy's staff to keep the lawns, and the rest of the Park, healthy and beautiful.

Soil, Water, and Ecology Laboratory

In the Conservancy's Soil, Water, and Ecology Laboratory, our trained staff monitors soil and water from around the Park and conducts scientific research that assists in caring for the Park's variety of ecosystems. Your Chairman's Circle membership will help the Conservancy maintain the health of all the Park's ecosystems.
