Central Park Conservancy and renowned sports medicine physician, Dr. Jordan Metzl, have teamed up with New York Sports Clubs to offer you a 60-minute fitness class that is sure to jumpstart your spring fitness routine! The class will be comprised of 30-minutes of heart-pumping Cardio Kickboxing with expert instructor Edem Tsakpoe and 30-minutes of Dr. Metzl's Ironstrength Workout.

Central Park beautiful.Dr. Jordan Metzl is a sports medicine physician at Hospital for Special Surgery, a best-selling author, and the creator of the Ironstrength
workout series. This includes his free Ironstrengthworkouts which are
open to everyone and encourage fitness to promote health. Dr. Metzl is a
33-time marathon runner, 12-time Ironman finisher, and author of Running Strong published with Runner's World.
Edem Tsakpoe has been in the fitness industry for a little over a decade. He has a background in track & field, collegiate volleyball and martial arts. Edem is primarily a personal trainer at the New York Sports Club where he has effectively improved the lives of the clients he has worked with by creating robust and effective exercise programs to meet the needs of his wide client base. In addition to individual instruction, he can also be found in group exercise classes teaching his signature cardio kickboxing class, non-contact boxing, or bootcamp. As a rule, Edem believes in safety first, a principle he emphasizes in his training style. He also emphasizes good eating and sleeping habits to maintain high energy levels, lean tissue growth & repair and mental health. Last, he instills the discipline of exercising regularly and intensely relative to ones’ skill level to improve and maintain high levels of performance, good body composition, self-confidence and overall excellent health.An instructor’s most important asset is himself. Edem lives the life he preaches. His discipline and exercise habits keep him in good shape and motivate everyone who meets him to strive towards a healthier lifestyle too.
