Make a Gift of Hope Today: Benefiting Cure JM in honor of Mckinsley!
Your gift gives children hope this holiday season.
Like most rare diseases, juvenile myositis research is only made possible by friends and families like you.
Juvenile myositis is a run-away immune response where the body attacks itself.
The treatments currently used are life-saving, but can often be worse than the disease itself. Treatments used are steroids and chemotherapy, causing years of nausea, days spent in the hospital, and harsh side effects.
You can give children a better future.
The picture on the right was at age 5 (shortly after being diagnosed with JDM) when she was on steroids and then a year later. The medicine that McKinsley had to take, have helped but take a toll on her body. We are hoping for medications with fewer side effects and eventually hope to find a cure.
Please make a gift to help us reach our family's fundraising goal.
