Welcome family and friends to my Walk Strong Texas fundraising page. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Maya and I am 7 years old. Over a year ago, I was diagnosed with a rare disease called Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM). Although there is currently no cure for my disease. I have been able to manage my flares and reduce most of my symptoms under my current treatment plan that includes; IVIG infusions, Orencia injections, and physical therapy. I am greatful to be on a path where I can enjoy running and playing with my friends again.
Maya is celebrating Cure JM's 20-year anniversary by walking strong to Cure JM and we hope you will join and support her team.
Your gift will be put right to work to:
- Advance four clinical trials
- Help kids get the best care
- Fund our largest-ever grant cycle, including investigating a new type of gene therapy
