Join the Walk Committee!

Are you passionate about finding better treatments and a cure for children with juvenile myositis? Take the baton and be a part of the progress by becoming a Walk Strong Committee member.

Committee members play a key role in the success of each event.  They share ideas and help make the event fun for all involved.

Committee meetings are held online and are optional to attend.  Committee members are also welcome to provide input by email or phone at their convenience if that is easier for your busy life.

Reach out today and Nicole you will help you plug into the team in a way that works for your busy life.

Committee Opportunities

National Leadership Committee

Meet with volunteers across the country to share your ideas and best practices to make our walks fun for the whole family and community.  As a National Committe member, you lead by example with your team leading the charge.

The National Walk Committee meets on zoom four times per year.

Local Event Committee

Join other families and friends to help make your local walk fun for the whole family and community.  Your ideas matter and your opinions and thoughts are a big help to make the walk a success.  We will meet on zoom once per month for the 3 months leading up to the walk.

Become a Walk-Day Volunteer

Each walk has help from walk-day volunteers! These volunteers help with event set up and clean up, day-of registration, entertainment and other fun ways to get involved.

We especially appreciate service organizations, teams, or community groups looking to help.

To sign up as a local volunteer, please email Nicole at nicole.ryba@curejm.org or text (732) 600-7339.
