BRAINS stands for “Benefits to Research and American Innovation through Nationality Statutes Act of 2012 (S.3553).” It was introduced by Sen. Charles E. Schumer of New York. It could be voted on within the next few days.
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES:
“ATTRACTING THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST ACT OF 2012,” H.R. 6412, was introduced by Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California. It could be voted on soon after the U.S. House of Representatives reconvenes Oct. 1.
