Church World Service is responding to the extensive damage caused by Typhoon Haiyan, which has killed as many as 10,000 people in the Philippines, and decimated cities such as Tacloban when it made landfall on November 8.
For nearly seven decades, CWS has helped communities recover from disaster over the long term. Our job is to continue to be a presence of healing to those most in need.
We are supporting the relief efforts of fellow members of the ACT Alliance that have significant operations in the Philippines, including the provision of immediate assistance to more than 200,000 persons. This will include the distribution of rice, canned goods, dried beans, as well as blankets, water containers and other non-food items.
Your gift will be directed exclusively to relief efforts in the Philippines.
Will you help us to respond?
