Melody Moezzi to Close Sunday Educational Programming with Keynote 

Melody Moezzi, an Iranian-American activist, attorney, and award-winning author will be presenting both a keynote address and breakout session as part of Sunday's programming. Ms. Moezzi is a UN Global Expert and a blogger for The Huffington Post, as well as a featured columnist and blogger for Bipolar Magazine. Her writings have appeared in The Washington Post, The Guardian, The Christian Science Monitor,  and many other publications worldwide. She has provided commentaries for CNN, NPR, BBC, HLN, and other media outlets. Her second book, Haldol and Hyacinths: A Bipolar Life, is scheduled for publication on August 1, 2013. Victoria Maxwell to Keynote with International Study of Performance's Stigma Reduction

Playwright, actor, and educator Victoria Maxwell will present her latest work, a one-woman show commissioned by an international research study on the stigma reducing effects of artistic performance. Following Victoria's performance, the results of the study will be presented together with a short Q&A discussion. DBSA and ISBD Partner on Joint Day at June Conferences

DBSA has partnered with the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD) for a full day of joint programming at our respective national conferences on Saturday, June 15, 2013. The day will offer consumers the opportunity to brainstorm with some of the world's leading clinicians and researchers in mental health on strategies for collaboration leading to improved treatment outcomes.
