Next Steps Training for Peer Specialists

Are you a peer support specialist? Are you interested in expanding your knowledge by sharing your experience and connecting with other peer specialists? If so, then this continuing education opportunity is right for you!

Next Steps is a highly-interactive continuing education course for peer specialists developed under the SAMHSA-supported Recovery to Practice initiative. Based on a cooperative learning model in which facilitators guide a process (rather than teach) and participants actively contribute (rather than passively listen), the course features group exploration and relevant practice in peer support values, workplace relationships, dual recovery, culture competence, trauma-informed services, and more.

    • 32 hours of continuing education
    • Please note: In order to be accepted for participation, registrants must have completed core peer specialist training and certification in their home states or through VA nationally-designated peer specialist courses.

Registration is closed for this training.
