Advocate for Mental Health
You can get involved and make a real difference, not only in your own life, but in the lives of others. By getting involved, you can do something that makes a tremendous difference in providing hope, help, and support to those living with bipolar disorder and depression.
There are many ways to get involved.
- DBSA Advocacy Center. Become a local advocate and help eliminate stigma and improve access and treatment in your local community and nationwide. Get involved.
- Join or start a local DBSA chapter. There are nearly 650 DBSA support groups nationwide, all started and operated by volunteers and people living with bipolar disorder or depression. Find support.
- Share your opinions. By frequently participating in DBSA's online surveys, you can help us better understand the needs of patients, families and other stakeholder groups. As a result, we can work more effectively on your behalf. Take a survey.
- Volunteer. You can find links to volunteer resources with DBSA and other organizations. Learn more.
- Become an ambassador. So much of what we do requires financial support. The more support we have, the more people we can reach. Help us do even more so that no one has to feel alone. Become a DBSA Ambassador today.
Those are just a few of the ways that you can help DBSA fulfill its mission. Just remember to do something. It's not just about helping others, it's about helping and empowering yourself.
