Climbing for a Cure
On Sunday, October 21, we will participate in Runyon Up, the first charitable stair climb to be held at Salesforce Tower – the tallest building in San Francisco – all in support of cancer research.
100% of the money we raise will be used by the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation to fund innovative research by today's most brilliant young scientists, who are racing to find the causes and cures for all types of cancer. The Foundation has longstanding partnerships with leading local research institutions, with nearly 30% of its current funding going to the Bay Area. Over the past 71 years, Damon Runyon has granted nearly $63 million to top young scientists at Stanford, UCSF, UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz. More than 200 scientists who have received funding from Damon Runyon work in the Bay Area, in both academia and biopharma.
Please make a donation that supports our climb, and help Damon Runyon scientists reach new heights in the fight against cancer.
You can choose the amount you want to give – all donations are gratefully received!
Please make a donation that supports our climb, and help Damon Runyon scientists reach new heights in the fight against cancer. Remember, if your company has a donation matching program, please use it. This will double your donation.
Additionally, one of our generous event donors (a private foundation that prefers to remain anonymous in its charitable endeavors) is challenging us to raise as much money as possible and has agreed to match 1:1 all first-time donations made in support of Runyon Up. This means that if you have never donated to this charity, your donation will be matched! Your donation could potentially be tripled!
