The Chase is On... (in the wildcard race and) to find Cures for Cancer!

Team Louie is at it again. After a two-year hiatus, we will be back at Yankee Stadium on Thursday, September 29th. We would be pleased if you could join us for the 2022 Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation 5k and help us reach our $5,000 fundraising goal.
This year we will run/walk in Memory of Bruce Grigson and in Honor of John Gee. Bruce was a loyal friend, fellow Syracuse Orange fan and longtime member and supporter of Team Louie who will be missed. John, Linda's cousin, has been battling pancreatic cancer since 2019 and has been an incredible inspiration, leading with his humor and showing us how to live, from biking to baking, it's hard to keep up. An avid Yankee fan, he would be tickled to see himself on the jumbotron!
100% of money raised is used by the Foundation to fund the groundbreaking work of some of the most promising young scientists, who are racing to find the causes and cures for all types of cancer.
The annual 5k at Yankee Stadium is a unique fundraising run/walk that uses the Stadium as its course. We get to explore the concourses and ramps, climb stairs between levels, and take our own victory laps around the warning track that circles the field (tick this off the bucket list).
Progress against cancer is a must! Take the field with us or make a donation to give hope to those on a journey to wellness or in memory of loved ones lost: Team Louie. All donations are gratefully received, international ones too. No contribution too small! Don't forget your company match.
With gratitude,
Linda, Captain
