In response to the evolving situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the 12th annual Runyon 5K at Yankee Stadium, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2020, has been postponed. While we hope to reschedule for a future date, the health and safety of everyone involved is our top priority, so it simply may not be possible to hold the event as we know it in 2020. We will follow guidance from the mayor, governor and local health authorities to determine when it will be safe to proceed with an in-person event.

We thank all of our loyal participants, volunteers and supporters for your patience during a time when the only thing that seems certain is continued uncertainty. Please stay tuned as we wait to see how things unfold in the coming weeks. We will post updates as soon as we know more.

If we are unable to safely host the event at Yankee Stadium, we will transform the 2020 Runyon 5K into a virtual run/walk so we can remain focused on our goal of striking out cancer.

100% of donations you raise will support innovative cancer research by brave and bold scientists funded by the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation.

If you haven’t participated in the past and would like to receive announcements about the 2020 Runyon 5K, please sign up for our Runyon 5K Email Alert.

THANK YOU for your support of the Damon Runyon 5K at Yankee Stadium!
