Stage 1 Done & Dusted
The first stage of this year's Tour is called "The Blender". It was a mash up of several other videos all strung together for an hour and forty five minutes of intense work at high wattage/heart rate.
Thanks to the training I've done over the past few months I survived it, but I suffered (as is appropriate for a Sufferlandrian!)
The cool-down section at the end of the workout features a video about the genesis of the Davis Phinney Foundation. Here's the video: https://youtu.be/vEOV1GbR7zk?si=yA7TYEaQpyTmJTCI
It was a great reminder of why I'm doing this, and of all the friends and family members who have donated to my fundraising efforts for DPF.
In about twelve hours I need to ride the next stage, which is fittingly called Nine Hammers. Wish me luck!
The Wahooligan Tour event supports the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson's. The Davis Phinney Foundation, a US-based non profit, helps people with Parkinson's live well today. Learn more at www.dpf.org.
