Riding for Honor, Glory, and Victory, Fundraising for Parkinson's
Each year we Wahooligans at Wahoo ride to raise money for the Davis Phinney Foundation to help fund their mission of providing research and support for those affected by Parkinson's. I haven't bugged my network in the past couple of years to kick in some dollars, but I'm reaching out this year to see how big of an impact we can make.
There are at least 3 reasons to contribute right now:
1. You know the impact that Parkinson's has had on the lives of yourself or others and you want to see how you can help.
2. You just did your taxes and realized that you were not that great at giving back last year and you have a resolution to fix that in 2024 (well, start now).
3. You want to force a big guy like me to suffer for 10 or so hours riding some of the most challenging indoor workouts.
This year there are two routes. I've chosen the Sufferlandrian Route to amp up my suffering during the tour.
Note that due to travel, I'm actually going to have to ride the tour early (to make sure I get it in), so insiders who donate will benefit from an inside view of the Tour before anyone else gets it.
Whether you fall into one or more of the reasons above, here's how you can contribute. Just click the DONATE button and put in as much as you can. There's no minimum (and no maximum) - any donation is appreciated.
The Wahooligan Tour event supports the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson's. The Davis Phinney Foundation, a US-based non profit, helps people with Parkinson's live well today. Learn more at www.dpf.org.
