My Hope for 2024: Help others Live Well
As I begin my 7th year on the Parkinson’s road it is has become apparent to me that my continued strong health is due to the support and guidance of my team: my remarkable husband, Dean, my family and friends, and a committed movement specialist neurologist.
There is one more key part of my team: The Davis Phinney Foundation. The DPF has provided me with information about PD, new approaches to management, numerous exercise programs and most importantly inspiration, motivation and community community. I wouldn’t be running 10Ks, movement strength training, bicycling in France, or organizing a People with Parkinson’s PickleBall group without their support and encouragement.
This year is the 20th anniversary of the Davis Phinney Foundation which will be celebrated with a special bike ride: The Tour de Victory in Colorado May 18. I will be there, riding to support of the Foundation’s work helping people with Parkinson's live well today. A donation to my fundraising page not only will encourage me to train harder and ride faster, but will help expand the Davis Phinney Foundation's important work.
Thank you,
Helen
