Tour de Victory - MAY 18, 2024

The Tour de Victory Cycling Challenge is a non-competitive, fundraising event benefitting the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s. Riders enjoy the scenic backroads of Boulder County, cruising along well marked routes designed to suit cyclists of all abilities. Riders can choose a 100K, 50K, or 20K distance. Fully supported with stocked rest stops and on-route technical, medical and SAG assistance, participants return to join volunteers, donors and supporters for a catered lunch and entertainment.

IN MEMORY OF TOM PALIZZI
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of longtime friend of the Foundation, Ambassador, and Tour de
Victory founder and ride director, Tom Palizzi. The inspiration for Tour de Victory came at dinner with Tom and Foundation co-founder Davis Phinney in Washington, D.C. in 2014. Tom promised Davis he would bring a fundraising ride back to Boulder, Colorado that would follow routes in Boulder County and provide a safe and enjoyable ride for cyclists of
all abilities. Under Tom's visionary leadership, the Tour de Victory was launched in 2019 and in 2024, hosts over 400 riders, fundraisers, and volunteers. Since its inception. the ride has raised nearly half a million dollars for the
Foundation, and it continues to grow year after year.

On a personal note, even though we know Parkinson’s is a degenerative process, it is hard to accept the fact that things are getting harder. For me, balancing on my bike, speaking so that people can hear and understand me, and not tripping over tables when I leave a restaurant, are all new challenges. When you donate to the Davis Phinney Foundation you are supporting many individuals besides yours truly. The Foundation provides education, activities, resources and most of all HOPE for those with PD. Every Victory Counts!
