DSO Presents Rachmaninov Symphony #1, CD - WRCJ
In this new release on Naxos, Leonard Slatkin leads the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in music of Sergei Rachmaninov. The Isle of the Dead, Op. 29 is a vivid and powerful symphonic poem and was featured in the DSO's recent appearance at Carnegie Hall, where it was greeted with cheers and standing ovations.
