Team Annie’s Angels is back!
On Saturday, October 5th, Bill and I will “walk” the Winship 5K Race at Emory in support of Cancer Research. Most of you know my journey...
Over the past 15 years, I have fought Lung, Spleen, Kidney, and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Now, this devil of a disease has found its way to my left eye. I have endured and persevered through years of surgeries and treatments, as well as, personal loss when Paul died of cancer in 2006.
In mid-2015, I qualified for a Phase 1 Clinical Trial offered at Winship. I was 1 of 60 participants nationwide. I was in the trial for 2 years in an effort to offer potential Hope for future cancer patients. Our efforts bore fruit...the FDA has approved usage of our trial drug.
The BEST HOPE for fighting cancer is Cancer Research. Winship ranks in the top 1% of our nation’s cancer centers and Winship researchers are collaborating across our nation and the world with phenomenal results.
Cancer has touched most of my body over the years but it will NEVER touch my heart nor my soul. Thanks be to God. Please consider supporting Team Annie’s Angels to help “Win the Fight”!
Gratefully and Affectionately,
