Please join us on June 10, 2023 for our first Big Canoe Pickleball fundraiser benefitting the Emory Goizueta Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
The Emory Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (GADRC) is the only comprehensive research center for Alzheimer’s disease and related memory disorders in Georgia, and one of just 33 NIH-designated Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centers in the country. The GADRC is a multidisciplinary team of physicians, scientists and staff across multiple departments and schools within Emory University, including the Schools of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, and in collaboration with faculty at Georgia Tech and Georgia State University, working to translate research advances into improved care and diagnosis for those with Alzheimer's disease. Of particular interest to our center is the discovery and translation of biomarkers and therapeutic targets to advance early diagnosis, intervention and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. The center also has a strong commitment to serve those who are often underrepresented in research, with a particular focus on the Black/African American community. Ongoing local, national, and international collaborations contribute to some of the most significant work in the field, including participation in trials that support recent advances in treatment for the slowing of the clinical symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, including the recently approved medications.
Would you help us reach our fundraising goal by making a gift? 100% of your donation will directly support the GADRC. It would mean so much to us and all those impacted by this terrible disease.
Please consider a minimum donation of $50 to participate in the event. After your donation is processed, we will e-mail you the pickleball event registration information. A donation is required to register, and will not be refunded if the event is rained out.
If you are not interested in participating in the pickleball event, please consider helping us reach our fundraising goal by making a donation anyway.
Thank you for your support to provide more advanced and compassionate care for Alzheimer's Disease patients.
