While my large family does not have a substantial history of cancer, my father, my brother, and several first cousins were all diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully, many of them were survivors, like my Dad. My brother, unfortunately, was not. I am walking on behalf of them, my friend Ramona, and all of the family members of friends and colleagues affected by cancer.
As a longtime employee of Emory, I have seen remarkable strides against cancer both at Emory and elsewhere. I have seen the creation of Winship Cancer Institute and its growth into the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Georgia. Every day, the doctors and staff at Emory Winship bring hope, health, and healing to patients and their families.
I’m so excited to be joining other supporters for the Winship 5K. Will you help me make a difference with a donation of any amount?
Thank you for supporting me and Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
