Le'ts show some LOVE for LOGAN!
My 9-year-old son, Logan, has FA. FA is a debilitating, life-shortening disorder. It’s progressing fast. He has lost the ability to walk, to write, draw, and keep up with his twin brother and classmates.
I’ve never worried about or been more scared of anything in my life than what the future holds for him. He requires my wife or I to be with him at all times to keep him safe and alive, as he also has type I diabetes and cardiac issues, which are part of FA. This has changed our lives in all aspects.
We pray for a cure every day. There are a lot of doctors, scientists, and researchers working on this but it comes at a cost.
I am asking whoever is willing to help to please donate as little or much as you can. I’ll be riding 50 miles on October 13, 2019 in the annual ride ATAXIA event on Team LOVE for LOGAN to benefit FARA, the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance.
If you want to join our team, click “Join Spencr's team” on the right side of this page. There are other biking/non-biking options! This event is NOT competitive – it’s about raising money to find a cure – so no biking experience needed.

rideATAXIA was founded by Kyle Bryant, a young man with FA. Kyle redefined what was possible in his life when he took up recumbent cycling. He says after training for and completing his first century ride, "I can't even walk down the street, but I rode 100 miles in a day. After that the sky was the limit." Since 2007, rideATAXIA has raised over $7 million to fund FA research progress.
Join me in supporting the urgent pace of that research. Donate. Together we will cure FA!
