rideATAXIA Chicago 2019

We're a group of friends from Ontario, Canada. On July 21, we'll be travelling to Chicago for our first ever rideATAXIA event. Our hope is to play a small part in finding a cure for Friedreich's ataxia (FA) -- a debilitating, life shortening, neuromuscular disease. We'll ride with local FA families, friends, and cycling enthusiasts to redefine what is possible in FA research. We ride for Joel, our friend who was recently diagnosed with this illness and who loves cycling!

If you're interested, here's a little history on the organization: rideATAXIA was founded by Kyle Bryant, a young man with FA.  Kyle redefined what was possible in his life when he took up recumbent cycling.  He says after training for and completing his first century ride, "I can't even walk down the street, but I rode 100 miles in a day.  After that the sky was the limit."  Since 2007, rideATAXIA has raised over $7 million to fund FA research progress.

Join us in supporting the urgent pace of that research.  Donate.  Together we will cure FA!

*Note to potential Canadian donors: FARA is an American charity, meaning that donations made through this website are in USD and are receipted as such.
