USDA: Stop Consumer Deception!
Most consumers believe that animals raised on organic farms are treated better than those on factory farms, but that’s not necessarily the case. Cows, pigs, chickens, and other animals raised as “organic” commonly live in filthy, overcrowded conditions, where they are seen as commodities rather than as living, feeling animals. Consumers who purchase meat, milk, and eggs labeled “organic” believe the animals are treated well, and they are being misled. It’s time to end this deception!
