Webinar: The State of Animal Testing in Canada

How many animals are used in Canada each year for scientific purposes, like drug or cosmetics testing, research, or science teaching? What rules govern how animals must be treated or restrict how they can be used? What progress is being made to replace animals in science, or create new laws to restrict certain practices, like the use of animals for cosmetics testing?

In acknowledgement of World Lab Animal Awareness Day (April 24), join us for a webinar with Dr. Elisabeth Ormandy, co-founder and Executive Director of the Animals in Science Policy Institute: a registered charity dedicated to building an ethical culture of science without animals. Elisabeth is a university-level educator with a decade of experience in international animal welfare policy and the ethics of animal research.

Note: there will be no graphic images used as part of this presentation.

The webinar takes place on April 24, 2017 at 9 pm EDT / 6 pm PDT.
