The Union Sq So. Hotel Special Permit Application is Deeply Flawed, and Does Nothing to Protect our Neighborhoods

Dear [Decision Maker],

I was deeply disturbed to learn from Village Preservation how many gaping holes and inaccuracies there are in the Environmental Assessment Statement for the proposed Hotel Special Permit Requirement for Greenwich Village and the East Village south of Union Square. Aside from multiple examples of just factually incorrect data, the analysis completely failed to recognize the scores of historic resources in the area, many of which are currently endangered and will continue to be demolished and replaced under this plan. I demand that the City recognize the valuable historic resources in this area as identified by Village Preservation and take action to protect them.

Sincerely,
