Event Description

As a public health professional, effectively communicating health objectives, research, and community stories to diverse audiences is an essential skill. Can you make verbal and written presentations in ways that captivate your audience and invigorate engagement and buy-in?

Lead by Eva Wilhelm of the Shakespeare Theatre Company, this highly interactive workshop will engage participants in a range of theatre exercises designed to strengthen and clarify communication in both formal and informal settings. Participants will discover how space, physicality, and vocal communication affect the stories they tell. Through a mixture of discussion and improvisation exercises, participants will explore key concepts in acting and text analysis used by classical actors. Participants will apply these newly acquired skills to relevant business text, practicing ways to decrease anxiety and increase confidence in all communication.

Workshop tickets are $25 and include a light dinner.
