Event Description

Join the GW Black Alumni Association for “Career Conversations with GWBAA”, a virtual dialogue to foster open communication around minorities and career success, especially during the pandemic. Connect with panelists, Candice Hunter, PhD, CCAS BA '98 and Greg Etienne, CCAS BA '14, SPH MPH '20 as they share their career stories and expound on their efforts to connect employers and job seekers.
 
An open Q and A session will take place immediately after the panel discussion.
 

Panelists

Candice HunterDr. Candice Hunter is a business psychologist, human resources leader, and educator. She has spent her career serving in leadership roles that include human resources  and  human capital strategy management, HR technology transformation, inclusion & equity education, and leadership development. Candice currently leads the human resources transformation efforts at a private boutique consulting firm where her culture work has led the organization to receive a coveted spot as Great Place to Work-Certified™ Company. Prior to that, she was the Chief of Staff and Chief HR Officer at Richmond Public Schools. Candice also served as chairperson for the school of business at Miami Dade College responsible for the academic success of over 6000 students.  Dr. Hunter has a passion for teaching and transferring knowledge and has held various adjunct roles in undergraduate and graduate programs. Candice earned her Ph.D. in Business Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, an executive MBA from Florida International University, and a Bachelor of Psychology degree from The George Washington University. She has two children Kendall and Kamal who are the pride and joy of her life.
 
 
Mr. Greg EtienneGreg Etienne is an assistant director of Employer Relations with the F. David Fowler Career Center (FDFCC) at the George Washington University School of Business (GWSB). Greg comes to GWSB as a proud GW alumnus. Greg focuses on the following industry areas: Consulting, Accounting, Financial Services, Healthcare, Sport Event & Hospitality Management, and Fashion/Apparel/Retail. As the assistant director of Employer Relations at FDFCC, Greg develops and maintains employer relationships with companies within the aforementioned industries.These relationships and formed partnerships directly impact the recruitment scope of GWSB students for job and internship opportunities. Greg also focuses on strategy development and implementation as it relates to employer relations and development here at the FDFCC.
