Location

Jet Propulsion Lab
4800 Oak Grove Drive
La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011

Event Description

Join fellow alumni for a special tour of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Explore the historic and unique national research facility that carries out robotic space and Earth science missions on a docent-led, 2.5 hour tour of the facilities. View the von Karman Visitor Center, the Space Flight Operations Facility, and the Spacecraft Assembly Facility during your walking tour, which is open to all alumni and children (ages 3rd grade and older).

JPL helped open the Space Age by developing America's first Earth-orbiting science satellite, creating the first successful interplanetary spacecraft, and sending robotic missions to study all the planets in the solar system as well as asteroids, comets, and Earth's moon. In addition to its missions, JPL developed and manages NASA's Deep Space Network, a worldwide system of antennas that communicates with interplanetary spacecraft.

While there is no fee to register, advance registration is required by NASA and JPL by Wednesday, November 13. Space is limited, so please RSVP today!
