Student-Alumni GWebinar: "Unlock Your Career Success: Knowing the Unwritten Rules Changes Everything" (Online)

Location

Online

Event Description

Join alumni and students for a unique Student-Alumni GWebinar presented by alumna Christine Brown-Quinn, GWSB MBA ‘92, as she discusses her recent book, Unlock Your Career Success: Knowing the Unwritten Rules Changes Everything with the GW community.

Following the global success of her former book, Step Aside Super Woman, Christine shares the key themes and back story to her newly released book, Unlock Your Career Success: Knowing the Unwritten Rules Changes Everything. In this GWebinar, Christine discusses one of the biggest myths ever when it comes to career success: there is no such thing as a one-dimensional meritocracy. If you think that by just doing a stellar job you are going to get tapped on the shoulder for that next promotion, you’ll likely be waiting a long time. The real secret to career success, therefore, is not 'working hard' at the exclusion of other truly career-enhancing behaviors.

Christine's presentation will be interactive, with an opportunity for Q&A and poll responses throughout the session.

This event is open to all alumni and students in the GW community.
