In this online talk, author Lindsay Chervinsky shares the story of George Washington’s creation of the Presidential Cabinet. Despite the Constitution and Founding Fathers' opposition to the institution, Washington implemented a cabinet that remains a model for others today. Chervinsky explores the evolution of its creation and the implications of its establishment.

About Lindsay Chervinsky

Lindsay Chervinsky is a White House historian for the White House Historical Association. She joined the association in 2019 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Presidential History at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Chervinsky specializes in early American history, particularly the presidency and government.
