Communication Workshop for Public Health Professionals (Washington, DC)

Event Description

As a public health professional, effectively communicating health objectives, research, and stories to diverse audiences is an essential skill. Can you make verbal and written presentations in ways that invigorate buy-in? 

Lead by Eva Wilhelm of the Shakespeare Theatre Company, this highly interactive workshop will engage participants in a range of theatre exercises designed to strengthen and clarify communication in both written and verbal communication. Through a mixture of discussion and improvisation exercises, participants will explore key concepts in acting and text analysis used by classical actors. Participants will apply these newly acquired skills to relevant business text, practicing ways to decrease anxiety and increase confidence in all communication.

Workshop tickets are $25 and include a light dinner which will be provided starting at 5:30pm. Workshop activities will run 6-8pm.
