Join our museum community online for a discussion of The Gospel According to André, a film exploring the life and career of influential tastemaker and fashion curator André Leon Talley. Special guest Joy Davis, host of the podcast Unravel, will lead the conversation.

About the Film

From the segregated American South to the fashion capitals of the world, operatic fashion editor André Leon Talley's life and career are on full display, in a poignant portrait of one of the truly unique figures of 20th century American culture. Weaving together a wealth of archival footage from the most glamorous moments in fashion history The Gospel According to Andre provides insight into Andre's life and career, whose barrier-breaking work at publications like Women’s Wear Daily, W and Vogue left an indelible impact on the industry.
