Alumni Career Programs GWebinar: "Growing Your Leadership for a More Fulfilling International Career" (Online)

Location

Online

Event Description

Join fellow alumni for a GWebinar led by GW Parent Douglas Keh, who has worked in the United Nations system for 27 years, and David Miller, who has twenty-four years experience specializing in new and conflict countries with expertise in agriculture development and program management. This webinar will function as an invitation to a life-long leadership journey for young and aspiring professionals who aspire to have meaningful and fulfilling international aid careers. This highly experiential and interactive workshop will aim to grow the non-technical aspects of leadership and to help participants more effectively create from within, from others, and from their environments in an ever-changing and increasingly chaotic world. The future of international aid will require new approaches and skill-sets as its framework will undergo significant changes in the coming years. The webinar will provide participants with insights and tools on how to be creative leaders rather than reactive participants throughout their careers. The workshop will help participants dive into their inner resources to overcome systemic barriers, create pathways for innovation and change, and capitalize on learning opportunities created by disappointment, frustration, and failure which will be inevitable in international aid careers. Time allowing, the webinar will also address strategies for career advancement for those choosing careers in international development and humanitarian aid.

Following Doug and David's presentation, there will be time for Q&A with participants.

This GWebinar is open to all GW alumni.
