Confirming and Processing Your Registration

You should look over the billing information to be sure it is correct before you continue with this transaction. Processing the transaction will charge your credit card or bank account with the total amount displayed on the receipt.

Step 1: Approve the Billing Information

Carefully review all the information on this page.

If you need to make changes:

  1. Click the Previous Step button on this page to go back to the Billing Information page.
  2. Click into each field requiring a change and make your change.
  3. When you have finished, click the Next Step button to display this page again.

Step 2: Process Your Registration

Click the Process button. The Thank You page displays with summary information that you can print for your records.

Social Sites If this or a similar Sharing Opportunity link displays on this page, you can use it to quickly and easily post a comment on your favorite social sites about the activity associated with it. The post (or, tweet) will contain a link back to an appropriate page on this site where your friends can pursue the activity (for example, make a donation, join your fundraising team, or take a political action alert). Step 3: Print Your Receipt

Click the Printer Friendly Version link at the bottom of the page, and then follow your normal print procedures.

Note: It is important to take note of the following items on the receipt:

  • Tracking code, which you must provide if you have any questions about your donation.
  • Organization's Tax ID, which you may need when you are filling out your tax information.

The Next Steps

On the Receipt page, you will see the link to the Participant Center. It is a good idea to click this link to preview and customize your Personal Page to which you will direct your family and friends for donations. You can add headlines and text, insert a photo, and more on this page to make it tell a story as well as reflect your personality. The Participant Center contains more information and Internet tools you can use to send emails that appeal to your family and friends for donations on your behalf, keep track of tasks you can perform, and monitor your progress.

As a result of your registration, the system will also automatically send you a thank-you email that contains the link to your Personal Center as well as a sample appeal email that you can forward to your family and friends to tell them about the event and how they can also support you. You can simply forward the appeal, or you can go to the Participant Center Email area and add information to or customize it before sending it out.

The Participant Center also has a personal Address Book in which the system records all people who donate to your cause or join your team. You can also add contacts to your Address Book to keep track of who has been sent the appeal emails, who needs to be sent appeal emails and reminder emails, who has opened their emails, who has clicked on the link to visit your Personal Page, and who has donated on your behalf. You can also see who is on your team. If the organization has linked several fundraising events together (for example, the corresponding event from last year), you can see information from the other events you have participated in for this organization.
